South Mississippi Regional Center has supported people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities since 1978.
Our programs are administered through the Mississippi Department of Mental Health for people living in the six southern counties of our state.
Our web site is organized around: Our Agency Information (About SMRC), Our Services , Our Partnerships and Our Employment Opportunities. If you do not find what you are looking for, we invite you to contact us, we are always happy to help.
The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) issued revised guidelines for visitation for ICF/IID programs. South Mississippi Regional Center is adjusting our policies and procedures to comply with the visitation guidance while continuing to maintain a safe living and learning environment for the people entrusted to our care. You may review the MSDH guidance by using the following link: https://msdh.ms.gov/msdhsite/_static/resources/10248.pdf. Social services staff may be contacted to answer any questions or provide guidance for visitation. We appreciate your support as we strive to offer visits that are safe for all parties involved. We will continue to monitor the situation and coordinate our policies and procedures with local and state agencies.
